Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine spotlighting upcoming releases.

ICYMI, Fierce Reads unveiled the fabulous cover for Leigh Bardugo’s new book on Friday. Six of Crows is the first of a new series set in the Grishaverse (the universe of her Grisha trilogy) but it’s about… you’ll see. I didn’t like the Grisha trilogy, but after reading the Tor shorts Bardugo wrote, I definitely think she has writerly oomph. And here’s to hoping I’ll enjoy this one – because it sounds amazing.

Game of Thrones meets Ocean’s Eleven in this brand-book in the world of the Grisha by New York Times-bestselling author Leigh Bardugo.

Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone…

A convict with a thirst for revenge.

A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager.

A runaway with a privileged past.

A spy known as the Wraith.

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.

Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don’t kill each other first.

Six of Crows is due for release on October 6th, 2015.

  1. I’ve yet to read Shadow and Bone (it’s on my TBR), but I feel like I’m going out on a limb whenever I do get around to it. Six of Crows sounds a whole lot more dark, interesting fun.

    1. Didn’t like Shadow and Bone, tbh, but I think that was more because of the characters than anything else. And this does sound exciting!

Got something to say?
