May Releases to Look Out For

May is an insanely good month for book releases. It’s a pretty star-studded list, what with Sarah J. Maas’s new series, the conclusion to Penryn & the End of Days (sob), and some amazing-looking retellings. I absolutely cannot wait for these!

  1. May 5th:
Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge. Finally, the Red Riding Hood retelling from the author of Cruel Beauty.
A Court of Thorns and Roses. Sarah J. Maas takes on fey and Beauty and the Beast? Yes, please!
The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West. Sounds so adorable!
Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen. You read that right. It’s a new Sarah Dessen book!
  2. May 12th:
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh. Remember the Arabian Nights retelling I was waiting on a while back? It’s heeere!
End of Days by Susan Ee. Yes, Penryn, Pookie Bear, and Raffe return for what’s definitely going to be an epic conclusion.
  3. May 15th: Ink and Ashes by Valynne Maetani. This debut looks so intriguing!
  4. May 17th: Never Never: Part Two by Tarryn Fisher and Colleen Hoover. Finally, a resolution to that cliffhanger!
  5. May 19th:
Scarlett Undercover by Jennifer Latham. Yes I want a detective story à la Veronica Mars!
Made You Up by Francesca Zappia. Oh boy, I really want to see how this author deals with mental illness.
  6. May 26th:
The Cage by Megan Shepherd. The author of The Madman’s Daughter trilogy returns with a unique-sounding sci-fi/dystopian.
Tiny Pretty Things by Sona Charaipotra & Dhonielle Clayton. This looks like just my kind of book, done right.

What books are you looking out for this May?
